Whitney was looking at the suitcases left open on the floor. There were two suitcases and one big bag, well they weren’t enough for her though. She sighed and started to think which one she would start with. It’s been only one day she got here, she still had time for this but it would be bad to do it later as she’d need her things no soon, especially her clothes. Whitney stood up and walked to one of her suitcases, she sat cross-legged in front of it. There were her daily clothes, one pair of shoes, one coat and her make up stuff. It was the smallest suitcase she brought from home, she felt like she would miss home a lot. She didn’t miss yet but maybe soon. Whitney checked out her cell phone, she texted to Luc, who was her penpal and now they were at the same school, but no new text message. He must be out, she thought to himself.

Whitney was done with putting her clothes in the wardrobe, the girl got bone-tired. She let her body to fall onto the bed, her eyes were closed. Whitney wasn’t sleeping but resting, her cell phone was in her hand and it was on vibrate so she would be aware when she recieved a message. Whitney was quite excited to meet Luc in real life, it would be the most amazing thing ever since she arrived the school. She hasn’t been to a boarding school before but she could imagine that it wouldn’t be bad as she would have Luc. It’s been only one month that they haven’t spoken because of enrolling and dealing with other things. It would be good opportunity for her to raise herself and become a better engineer at the end. Her older brother always told her that she would do amazing in that school but she couldn’t make sure as she would be away from him.

Her brother, Umut Lucas Montgomery, was more than a brother to Whitney. He has been brother and also a good teacher to her because Lucas Montgomery was an engineer. Even he was away from Kansas, he started to live in another state but Whitney used to visit him almost every weekend. The weekends that she couldn’t go, her brother tried to make it to be at home. But now Whitney would be completely away from the big brother. Instead of her father, Lucas was the one who taught her almost everything. It’ll be like dreamer’s dream was his favorite quote, his brother studied mechanical engineering so he was mostly working on mechanics. Whitney liked to watch him when he was working, it was a show to her. She didn’t want to study mechanical engineering as she wasn’t so into mechanics but optimisation.

Whitney was startled by the vibration of her cell phone. She sat up and gazed at the dorm. It was really nice one, she didn’t expect a room like this. Because people mostly talked bad about boarding schools but this one must’ve been the best one. There was a new text message on her phone’s screen. It must’ve been Luc. Was he coming? Whitney has seen the photos of him, too many photos actually. Because she always wondered what he looked like so she asked him to attach a photograph to the letter. Once she saw his photograph, she sent one of hers to him and it was how it started. Whitney had about ten or fifteen photographs of Luc but she sent back more to show her family and her friends and some places that she had been to. Now the time’s come to meet her penpal, her heart started to beat fast.
