BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SPECIALIST SUBJECT(S):

Astronomy, my love for astronomy started when i was an 8 year old boy, my father, an american ambassador in tbilisi, georgia, who meant the world to me suddenly passed away and my world fell apart. my mother , despite being heartbroken as she was, offered a great source of consolation by telling me the following: "your father is not gone, he's in heaven, and you can see him every night if you at the sky, the star that shines the most is your father." i was a curious little boy and i wanted to know everything about my dad's new home. even though i don't believe any longer that my father is that bright star in the sky, because i know my facts, outer space never stopped calling me. one day i hope to be part of a generation of scientists that unveiled every secret of the universe.

3D Art, i don't know if you keep up with science magazines, but if you do, you might be familiar with those pictures of extrasolar systems and planets and asteroids, which fool you into thinking there's a photographer in outer space taking pictures of asteroids and planets even though there's no access to any oxygen and the temperatures are extreme. i think you and i both are clever enough to know that those are not actual pictures but artist impressions, and as an aspiring scientist i'd like to be able to fool the masses myself, of course science itself is my priority but i feel that i am starting to improve my art skills, slowly, that is.

Animation, self explanatory really if you made it through my story on 3D Art. you know those vids on discovery channel and national geographic on the beginning of the earth and spectacular documentaries like that where you feel like you were there yourself when it happened, i want to be able to create those myself with my own artist impressions of planets and systems and galaxies, i wouldn't do the voice over though, you need a solid and sophisticiated british voice for that not my young american sounding voice.

"what can i tell you about my son, revaz, or rezo as i call him? the first thing that comes to mind is his determination, he wants to make his father proud by achieving something in life even though he's not there anymore and his father would always have been proud of him no matter what. he can get quite caught up in his research and reading and tends to forget about everything else. he's a proper geek, but i do love him for it, but what can i say he's my son. he never fails to amaze me with how much progress he makes. although i am not the one to judge, i know close to nothing about astronomy, art and animation. computers have barely been introduced in georgia so to me he's a miracle worker with his computer. sometimes i wish he would start caring more about the world around him and that he starts seeing the world around him and i want him to realize that science requires patience, you can't understand everything at once. even though as a language teacher i can't say i'm a real scientist, but essentially we went through the same struggles, wanting to understand something which takes time to understand. i am sure he will end up achieving something big, and i hope he will be able to be proud of himself and realize that his father always has been proud of him. i know that i made him sound like the crazy scientist who never comes out of hiding, but no there are more sides to him. his father was a great friend to him and showed him the virtues of an honourable man. he is friendly, social and down to earth, although a little awkward around girls that are not his mother." - sopho, revaz' mother
