acting - i always liked acting. it was fun, it was putting on a new skin and showing people who i could be. i could be as hypocritical as i wanted, i could laugh when i didn't find things funny, i could be someone completely else- well, that's sort of what acting's all about, isn't it? acting is a big part of my drag persona, too, felicia marina is me without being like me at all. it's a challenge, but i love it. she's a part of me like i'm a part of her, like any character i play is a part of me and vice versa.

voice - mum loved it when i sang, even after my voice dropped. i like my voice, too. it reminds me of ireland and her. singing is a release, i like making music, i like performing. i got that from her, too.

psychology - i'm good at knowing people and what they like. it's one of the reasons i'm a good actor, i know how emotions work and i know how to show them. i think that the human mind is one of the more interesting things in this world. all of the capacity to hate and love and create art? the best, and the worst.

SIGNIFICANT HISTORICAL MATTERS:

-february 2000: felix is enrolled in singing and acting lessons by his mother.

-july 2000: he gets his first part, a small role in a local theater production.

-december 2006: he has his first major venues in a musical as the main character.

-june 2008: felix comes up with his drag queen persona, felicia marina, and separately realizes that he also finds guys attractive.

-january 2009: felix's conservative catholic father learns of felicia marina and felix's sexuality, immediately send him to a private catholic academy despite his mother's attempts to stop him.

-september 2009: his father refuses to communicate with him until he "fixes himself". felix also gets another major part in a school production, decides that he won't listen to his father even if it hurts to know how he thinks of him.
