Luc raised his eyebrows and gave him a stern look. Felix winced and then gave him a sheepish smile. The other boy didn’t appear as angry as he was expecting, just not taking his flirting with a quick rebuffal. He had a point, he only had known Felix for ten or fifteen minutes, and deciding to hook up with your dorm mate without having any intentions of continuing a relationship wasn’t the smartest. He’d still have to see him every day, no matter how it turned out, at least, until he got assigned to a different room. ”Of course you’re not naive,” he said soothingly, pulling himself up to a seated position. Felix decided that he’d just have to go back to being subtle. Subtle was hard, but he thought he could pull it off. He didn’t want to make Lucas too uncomfortable, just enough to make him squirm and think about it a little.
That didn’t stop him from ogling, though. Luc did have a pretty great bum. He chalked it up to the dancing. The way the other boy suddenly straightened made the Irish boy giggle a little; he must have realized where his eyes were going.
The American tapped his shoulder, a packet in his hand, and moved out of the dorm. Felix stood up, stretching out his back, and slid his hands into his pockets, humming quietly as he followed after his friend. He didn’t know where they were going, but anything was better than sitting there not doing anything in his dorm. The packet was waved in his face, and he realized that it had to be popcorn.
”Pitch Perfect,” he mused, leaning against the edge of the door and stretching an arm to balance himself. ”I think I saw the promos for that. Looked interesting.” He admired the way Lucas managed to easily maneuver himself up onto the counter. It looked effortless, more so than the normal person jumping up onto counters because he managed not to hit his head on the cabinets above him. Felix wasn’t clumsy, not by any means- extended time walking in high heels that a stripper would be proud of insured that, not to mention blocking for theater- but the natural fluidity that Luc carried himself with was impressive. The actor knew how to command a room, he knew how to fill space, but that grace was something.
”I’ll take you up on that, then.” he smiled and moved over to Luc to snatch a few pieces of popcorn from the bag. As he wiped the butter off his fingers absently, Felix’s face turned a little more serious. ”I do hope I haven’t offended you too much. I know I-” he pursed his lips, trying to shut out ugly words that echoed in his head from what his father had called him. ”-I’m a bit much, to say in the least, and I won’t lie, you’re pretty cute, but as long as we can understand that...” he used his hands to convey the message. ”Okay, Helen?” he used his analogy again, hoping to lighten the conversation.

"Great. Hilariously entertaining interesting, I hope," Luc replied with a smile, following his friend's invite approval. He watched as Felix helped himself to a small handful of popcorn, chowed down on it and then wiped his fingers clean. He was thinking of some amusing remark to make about this when he found that the moment had passed, as Felix's facial expression seemed to stiffen up. Luc couldn't help feeling (and probably looking) a bit crestfallen. Was that his fault?
Felix began to tell Luc a jolted apologetic little piece on how he hadn't intended to offend him, pursing his lips and wafting his hands around nervously. The younger boy felt his chest tighten with regret over messing with the system back in the dorm. His eyes creased in a wince and he bit the inside flesh of his bottom lip anxiously. Then when Felix casually chucked in the notion of him being cute, the tightness worsened.
When it ended and Luc was required to give a response, all he could muster to start with was a slow nod as he took a deep intake of breath. "Of course," He mused on the out-take. And then he snapped back into the mode. "So, cute, huh?" He grinned devilishly, knowing he had one over now, and dotingly flicked Felix's little button nose with his fingertip (something he'd been wanting to do ever since they'd met).
"I have high hopes for this movie." Lucas gave a short wink-nod combo at Felix - he could be good at subtext too, when he put the effort in. Then he then half-skipped half-speed-walked away way back to his dorm, sending a couple of popcorn pieces here and there flying out of the bag.

Luc appeared to be absorbing his words and Felix felt the feelings rise up in his chest like an iron band. He didn't like talking about his feelings or his flaws, but he had high hopes for his relationship with the American, romantic or not. He felt like he owed Lucas the explanation, at the very least, even if it left him feeling silly and pained. His father had always told him that he was too emotional, a criticism that got worse with time and realizations, and any emotional revelations were quickly crushed and or stowed away where he didn't have to think about it. Lucas breathed out, looking thoughtful.
Felix was taken aback and a grin started to play about his lips again as the other boy flicked his nose and gave him a mischievous smirk that took his breath away despite himself. It was something of an apology and a message that he still had a chance. "Cute, yes," he heard himself saying, sounding just a little bit dazed. Luc had definitely pulled a fast one. "Unless you have an adjective you'd prefer...?"
It was an effort to pull his normal unflappable attitude around him again, especially after the look that Lucas gave him. Felix found himself still grinning, though- it had become a two person game. He then realized with a pang that the other boy and his bag of delicious, delicious popcorn was escaping. "H-hey! Don't disappear with the food, Luc!" Felix sprinted after him, making a grab for the popcorn bag.

Luc laughed delightedly both at Felix’s exclamation and his attempted grabs for the popcorn bag, letting his three-year-old side emerge once more. He was glad that things had only been weird for a few minutes and now it could all resume as pleasantly as it had been beforehand. Lucas had never much liked problems arising. He much preferred to sugar-coat issues, run away from them, or ignore them completely, rather than confronting them. But he was getting better at facing up to things like that nowadays, and ‘maturing’.
However, it was clear that now was not a good time for proving Luc’s maturity, as he leapt up to stand on his bed and try to keep the popcorn out of Felix’s reach. He kept this up for a minute before giving into the other boy’s pleas – teasing was fun and Lucas could get his fair share of ogling done himself as he manoeuvred Felix this way and that by moving and shaking the bag around a lot. He ended up jumping off the bed, rolling his eyes mock-wearily and handing over the bag with a vaguely apologetic smile.
Luc then sidled past Felix in the small room to retrieve his laptop. Fortunately, that wasn't on the floor so no bending over was necessary. As he slipped it out from between some books and ornaments, the boy declared “My dad would kill me, you know.” He tossed a glance over to see where Felix was (and whether he had to take the popcorn off him yet before he finished it) and then perched on the edge of the bed, momentarily transfixed on getting the film up and running.
The unfinished sentence hung in the air for a while as Luc absent-mindedly tapped away at his keyboard, until his attention was regained and he grinned at Felix – “He’s always said that if a movie’s still out in the theatre, that’s the only place you should be seeing it.” He swivelled the device on his lap round so that Felix could see the screen, and how the actor’s son was going about watching this movie. “Thing is…” Luc mused as he stood up and walked round to Felix at the head of the bed. He sat down and propped himself up against the wall, legs outstretched in front of him, computer humming away on his lap.
After getting sufficiently comfy, Lucas tapped the play button, and then concluded, turning to face Felix – “I don’t really feel like leaving this room.” The boy made sure he maintained eye contact just that little bit too long. That, combined with the fact that the bed was so narrow that the two boys had little personal space, left the younger wondering how his friend would react. Eventually, Luc broke his gaze when he found himself having to suppress a laugh at the whole situation by biting the inner flesh to his bottom lip. He then grabbed the popcorn back off Felix, and stuffed his face as the movie kicked in.

Luc cackled in delight at Felix’s desperate bid for the popcorn and ran the rest of the way, leaping up onto his bed. Felix dodged around the bed, skidding on the carpeting and almost tripping before he stretched out to make a grab. Luc danced to the other side of the bed and the two played a harsh game of keep away, Luc laughing all the while as he made Felix run around to try and get the food. The American finally jumped off of the bed with a massive creak, landing lightly. Felix took the popcorn with somewhat suspicious hands, trying not to break down in laughter. He decided that it was best not to look a gift horse in the mouth and stuffed his own mouth with a handful of the buttery snack. He munched for a few seconds, content, before following Luc and his laptop.
He said that his father would kill him, and Felix furrowed his brow a little, smile turning a little wry. That was a sentence that he could get behind, even if he didn’t quite know what for. Even if Felix loved the man (as hard as it was, he knew that part of the reason it was so painful to think about was because he still loved his father), he knew that the sentiment wasn’t shared. He padded over to take a seat next to Luc on the side of the bed, squishing probably a little unnecessarily close to peer at the screen until his thought was continued. The dark thoughts were banished out of his minds with the completion of his words and a bright grin. He didn’t need to think about his past too hard, right now. ”Some truth in that, but...” he held up his hands in the universal gesture for “who cares.”
The computer hummed as the two got themselves more or less comfortable against the wall. He pressed his shoulder against the other boy’s as he craned his neck a little. Luc’s words were flirtatious in a way that made him want to choke back a snicker. ”I can see why not,” he answered, pressing his lips together in an effort not to laugh too much as he kept the eye contact going. A little whine left his lips as Luc stole the popcorn again, but he didn’t move to retrieve it, focusing his gaze on the movie. A few minutes later, he was groping around the other boy to get one of the few remaining pieces of popcorn, moving his arm in front and then behind Luc as he laughed at what was happening onscreen. ”Oh, that’s gold,” he grinned, eating a piece of popcorn as he unwound his arm from behind Luc.

Lucas was glad that Felix didn't mind about watching the movie online (or watching it at all). Some people were iffy about legalities and usually the boy was careful to abide too, but the feeling of wanting to keep his peer interested overcame that. And what he said about not wanting to leave the room was wholly true, too. Luc was a homebird at best. He still missed the family home back in New York that now lay dormant as a mere holiday home, and all his friends too. But then again, he couldn't imagine how much worse it was for someone like Felix. Ireland was a long way away compared to New York City.
Lucas thought momentarily about asking his friend about it, whether he was homesick, and then thought against it. If he was homesick, perhaps this, what they were doing now, was a good distraction, and the boy certainly didn't want to interfere if that was the case. Meanwhile, Felix had grown impatient with the popcorn and was making attempts to grab it back without looking for the bag, meaning his arm was waving around, in front and behind him in order to try and find easiest access. Luc bit his lip but said nothing as Felix's arm ended up around him loosely for a bit - mainly because he didn't know how else to react. But, before the boy could think about it much longer, the moment had passed and Felix had taken his arm back. Lucas kept his gaze fixed on the screen, but not freezing up or anything. Nothing could keep him from laughing at this film. As Felix said, it was gold.
(( I don't even know... I rushed this and I regret doing that but too lazy to rewrite at the mo lol ugh man schoolwork drains meh. Also I'm not sure I interpreted the groping part right? And I just realised that RPing watching a movie is the worst idea I've ever had. x3 ))

Felix wasn’t usually too worried with illegalities. He performed in bars, where he technically wasn’t supposed to be, from a young age. His lifestyle went against what he was raised to be like, and while he disapproved of stealing just on principle, streaming a movie online didn’t count against anything too big. He did it plenty himself, back home. American movies sometimes took a while to come out in Ireland, so he used plenty of sources to get some when one he wanted to see came out. It was part of his deviancy, he supposed, biting back a sharp grin at the thought. Streaming movies was certainly the most illegal thing that anyone could do, it went right against all societal codes. He didn’t even know how you were supposed to get punished for it in the states. What could they do? Tell you off? Make you pay for the movie?
The Irish boy glanced over at Luc, who appeared to be engrossed in the film. He definitely liked the acting, both in the plot and in the actual movie itself. He crunched on his mouthful of popcorn, content, before going back to draping his arm around Luc. Felix didn’t usually go for the entire “yawn and stretch” move too often, and really, the first time, it was more accidental than anything, but he liked to be touchy and Luc hadn’t snapped at him or anything the first time. It was best for him to let his American friend to know that he was, indeed, interested, so there would be less of the entire unsureness that seemed to pervade some younger relationships. Felix leaned over, keeping his eyes on the film, and felt more than a little stupid for asking the question. “Can I do this, Helen?” he referenced their earlier conversation and snickered softly before pressing his hand into the other boy’s shoulder to emphasize his point. “Or is it uncomfortable?”
